Description

Habit:
Cape jasmine is a shrub, typically growing to 1 to 2 meters (3 to 6 feet) tall, though some varieties can reach up to 3 meters (10 feet). 
Leaves:
The leaves are glossy, dark green, and oval or elliptical in shape. They are arranged in opposite pairs along the stem. 
Flowers:
The flowers are the main attraction, being large, white, and waxy, often with double petals, resembling a pinwheel or star shape. They are intensely fragrant, with a sweet, intoxicating scent, particularly noticeable in the evening. 
Blooming:
Cape jasmine typically blooms from late spring through summer, but some cultivars may have sporadic blooms throughout the year. 
Origin:
Native to parts of South-East Asia, including China, Japan, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
